ANOSMIA
Inability to smell
HYPOSMIA
Decreased ability to smell
Anosmia & Hyposmia could be due to head Injury when the olfactory (smelling) nerves are torn. Decrease in the sensation of smell may be due to viral fevers like Influenza & in the recent times Covid 19.
